White walls. White halls. White masks.
Life in UNITY is not for the weak-willed — and most will conform.
Born into one of humanity’s farmed complexes, Ly lives every day in a heavily computerized, corporatized religious facility, where compliance is law and obedience is worship.
Ly is what they call an Anomaly — noncompliant, resistant, unpredictable. In UNITY, those like him are a threat.
Links — the children raised in these underground halls — are considered the literal lifeblood of the Institution.
The strong, obedient boys? They’re groomed into Seraphs, the elite enforcers of UNITY law.
The disobedient, the flawed, the “cracked” Links? They’re recycled.
Fed into treadmills. Used as power. Broken in body and spirit.
There is only one way out:
Become what he hates.
Join the system that tased, kicked, and beat him his entire life.
So Ly bites his tongue.
He takes the hits.
He plays the part.
Until his final test.
A test of loyalty. Of silence. Of faith.
Take the life you’re told to.
No questions.
No hesitation.
Even if the one across the room… is the only person who’s ever loved you.
